State law seeking to protect confidentiality between workers and their union representatives is on the governor's desk for his signature.
CTA-supported AB 729 by Assemblymember Roger Hernandez (D-West Covina) allows a union representative the option to refuse to disclose confidential information gathered while representing their members. This is designed to make it possible for union members to confide all elements of their situation with a union representative, something vital in grievance proceedings and other job-related situations.
The measure is part of CTA's ongoing legislative efforts to protect the rights of union members. Contact the governor.
