CTA-opposed Concurrent Enrollment Bill Dies in Senate Appropriations Committee

The Senate Appropriations Committee has blocked the movement of a CTA-opposed measure that would have given high school students secondary credit for courses taken at community colleges. CTA noted in its opposition letter that AB 1451 by Assembly Member Chris Holden (D-Pasadena) would have confused the missions of the two affected levels of public education, K-12 and the community colleges.
