CTA-Backed Special Education Authorization Measure Goes to Governor

CTA is urging Gov. Brown to sign a measure that would give educators credit for their prior comparable coursework or work experience as they seek to enhance their existing credentials.

SB 368 by Sen. Fran Pavley (D-Agoura Hills) seeks to ensure Special Education staff members have the qualifications and credentialing to meet the academic needs of their students. At the same time, the bill seeks to save teachers time and money by reducing unnecessary or repetitive coursework.

Ask the governor to sign SB 368.

Every child deserves a chance to learn and no child succeeds alone.
