Bill That Would Undermine Online Course Quality Control Moves on with Amendments Addressing CTA Concerns

The Assembly Education Committee took up CTA-opposed AB 2178, a bill that would allow charter schools to sidestep state protections designed to assure that online teaching of students, when combined with classroom instruction, maintains a high quality.

After significant amendments to address some of the Association's concerns, the bill now heads to the Assembly Appropriations Committee.
