Description of Organization:
CMP provides professional development to K-12 teachers in content knowledge and instructional strategies aligned with CA Mathematics content standard framework, and works with the representatives from the district office and teachers to design a coherent and comprehensive plan to meet the needs of teachers and students in the school.
Description of Products and Services Available to Schools:
- intensive professional development institutes
- academic year systematic and sustained support including Lesson Study and coaching
- coursework in mathematics
- support for students and administrators
- support for specific teacher groups including new teachers, teachers from hard-to-staff schools, prospective teacher leaders, teacher of English learners, teachers seeking certification
- CSET preparation
- intensive professional development for teaching the standards, especially 8th grade algebra standard
