Hundreds of California Educators to Meet with Lawmakers in Capitol Urging Support
for Education Funding, Mandatory Kindergarten and Secure Retirement for Educators
WHO: Approximately 200 educators from across the state will go office-to-office Wednesday to talk to their local lawmakers in the state capitol urging support for the governor’s budget May revision, paying back debt to schools after years of devastating cuts, addressing the California State Teachers Retirement System shortfall, and legislation that would make kindergarten mandatory for students prior to entering the first grade.
