César Chávez

My picture represents César Chávez. The flag with the eagle on it represents the United Farm Workers. The two hands together represent team work. The green, white and red flag is the Mexican flag. César Chávez was born in Mexico. When César Chávez was ten years old, he moved to America. So the American flag represents freedom to César Chávez. The airplane spraying pesticides with the line through it represents how bad the pesticides were for the farm workers. The grapes with the line through them represent the grape boycott. The fist with a line through it represents NO VIOLENCE! César Chávez taught me that when you work together you can make your dreams come true.

Every child deserves a chance to learn and no child succeeds alone.
