In my drawing I drew a hand with a ribbon tied around it that has the words “si se puede” and “viva la causa”. I drew the hand balled into a fist to symbolize the strength of the farm worker, not in muscles, but in heart.
I drew the ribbon wrapped around the hand with those specific words to symbolize the words César Chávez said to raise the hope of the farm workers. Then I drew a sign saying boycott grapes to show one of the things César Chávez did instead of using violence to get what he wanted. The last things I drew were the mountains in the background and the field to show where the farm workers worked and where it all started.
