Several members won election to CTA positions during recent meetings of State Council.
Re-elected to the CTA Board of Directors were five incumbents: Pixie Hayward Schickele, District C; Larry Carlin, District D; VirginiaAnn G. Shadwick, District J-HE; Donnell Jordan, District O; and Dianne K. Jones, District P. Elected to his first term on the CTA Board was Dan Vaughn, District L.
Re-elected to the position of CTA/NEA Coordinating Director (a seat on CTA¹s Board of Directors) was Barbara J. Ferges, who won re-election to the District 5 seat on the NEA Board at the January meeting. Also winning re-election to the NEA Board were Martha Wallace, District 4; Jimmie Woods-Gray, District 6/14; Jim Himelhoch, District 13; John Graham, Alternate. Charles Tubbs Jr. was elected to serve out an unexpired term as NEA Director Alternate.
Elected to seats on CTA¹s ABC Committee were Tony Mendoza, Member-At-Large; Marc Sternberger, District C; Ron Edwards, District D; Mary Ann Pacheco, District J-HE; and Donald Bridge, District K.
An election will be held in June for the ABC position for District P. The candidate is Jim Groth.
