Parents and the School

Getting involved in your child’s school can be rewarding and beneficial for you, your child and your child’s teacher.

In this section, you’ll find:

• Information on the Family/School Partnership Act - If certain criteria are met, you may take off up to 8 hours in any calendar month to participate in activities at your child's school or day care.

• Advice on parent-teacher conferences - Working together, you and the teacher can help your child have a successful school year.

• How to get involved in your child’s school - You and the teacher share a deep concern for your child's welfare, and there is no better way to encourage your child's growth and development than by working together to meet her or his educational needs.

• Bus Safety: Tips for parents - Be sure your children know and follow these rules to help them and other children stay safe.
