2012 Good Teaching Conference

The CTA Good Teaching Conferences are designed to support excellent teaching and learning practices for classroom teachers. Offering a variety of diverse workshops in curriculum content areas for K-12 teachers, the conferences provide opportunities for professional development and offer time to network and share ideas with colleagues and experts in the field.

2012 CTA Retired Conference

As the fight for retirement benefits looms large in the California budget crisis, the 2012 Retired Conference combines speakers and workshops to provide CTA retired members with the latest updates and separates the "myths from the facts" on employee benefits.

Equity and Human Rights Conference

The 2012 Equity and Human Rights Conference captures the essence in CTA’s Mission Statement: to ensure that the dignity and civil rights of all children and youth are protected, and to secure a more equitable and democratic society. The conference combines speakers and workshops to provide all CTA members with a greater understanding of the issues of diversity and equity.

2012 Region IV Leadership Conference

Sunny San Diego will host the Region IV Leadership Conference this spring. This year’s conference multi-focused approach on advocacy, professionalism, leadership and vision looks to be one of the best training events of 2012. The focus on building a stronger, member-centered union reflective of our common core values is necessary to Commanding the Road for Great Public Schools, and it is based on themes revealed during relational conversations conducted throughout the region last year. Together we will continue the important work of proactively taking command in our continued fight to promote and protect public education.
