Creating a culture of innovation

Teachers need room to explore and experiment to uncover ways to use technology effective in the service of learning. Initial tech forays may fall short, or even fail, but experiences gleaned can help build institutional knowledge of best practices. 

How to communicate dissent at work

One problem with dissent: a lot of people don’t want to hear it. Accordingly, many employees worry that expressing dissent will cause others to see them negatively, or that it won’t make a difference. There are no magic words, but some things can help make dissent more positive.  

Changing times for high schools

Expanding digital initiatives, reconfigured school calendars, new common learning standards . . . these are only a few of the changes causing both ire and innovation in high schools. Driving the change? An influx of new technology and heightened emphasis on college/career readiness.

Every child deserves a chance to learn and no child succeeds alone.
