Diane Ravitch Speaking Tour
Hosted by local CTA chapters, education expert and author Diane Ravitch will speak at several California events this month.
Los Angeles, Jan. 17, 5 p.m., Immanuel Presbyterian Church, 3300 Wilshire Blvd. Tickets are not required for the Los Angeles event. The 700-seat venue will be available on a first come, first served basis.
San Francisco, Jan. 18, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Herbst Theatre, San Francisco War Memorial and Performing Arts Center, 401 Van Ness Ave. at McAllister. For tickets, call the Region I office at (650) 577-5100 and give your name, address, phone number and local association. The deadline to get tickets is Wednesday, Jan. 11.
