Online Anti-privacy Bill Not Going Forward


CTA-opposed bill that would have allowed employers to force peace officer job applicants to reveal password-protected areas of their social media accounts is not moving forward this session.

Your efforts to kill AB 25, by Assembly Member Nora Campos (D-San Jose), paid off. The bill was an outrageous invasion of privacy that could be extended to all employees, including educators and school district applicants.

Every child deserves a chance to learn and no child succeeds alone.
