NEA RA 2011: Standing Strong For Our Students, Our Schools, and America
The NEA Representative Assembly is the largest democratic deliberative assembly in the world. California sends more than 1,000 delegates to the NEA RA each summer. During this annual meeting, CTA members help set policy and chart the direction of NEA business through participation on various committees, constituencies, caucuses, and leadership groups.
The 2011 theme, "NEA Standing Strong: For Our Students, Our Schools, and America," was built on the theme from 2010: Turning Hope into Action. The 2011 convention underscored NEA’s readiness to increase our advocacy on behalf of students, public schools and our outstanding members. NEA focused on moving forward with action to achieve our vision of Great Public Schools for Every Student by 2020.
