CTA Board member Elana Davidson, a resource specialist at Las Palmas Elementary in the Patterson Joint Unified School District in Stanislaus County, is serving her second three-year term on the Board, which expires June 25, 2015.
An educator for 24 years, Davidson represents CTA members teaching in Stanislaus, Merced, Mariposa, Fresno and Madera counties. She serves as Liaison to the Elections Committee and is a member of CTA's Strategic Planning Steering Committee.
She is a past president and vice president of the Patterson Association of Teachers, and was a delegate to the CTA State Council of Education, where she also served on the Council’s special education and school safety committees. She also chaired the CTA Stanislaus Service Center Council and was on the planning committee for CTA’s annual Good Teaching Conference.
Davidson obtained her degrees at CSU East Bay in Hayward, where she earned a bachelor’s in liberal studies, a multiple teaching credential and a special education credential.
She lives in Modesto, has two children, and one grandchild.
