César Chávez was a hard working man who sacrificed his own wealth in order to make a better life for migrant farm workers. The social justice that he fought so hard for is still very important today. When I look at the people around town, going to and from work, I think of how lucky we all are. There are people of every race and gender and they all have a chance to work at whichever place they want. We can all thank César Chávez for helping make that happen.

The eagle in my painting stands for liberty and justice for all. The colors in my eagle painting are to support the diversity that César Chávez stood for. César Chávez inspires me and I personally think that he was a real hero.

Every child deserves a chance to learn and no child succeeds alone.
