CTA Disaster Relief Fund
School Site Grant
The CTA Disaster Relief Fund, administered by the FACT Foundation, exists to provide financial assistance to CTA members who have experienced significant losses as a result of disasters in the state of California.
Qualifying applicants may receive a School Site Grant of up to $500.
The School Site Grant exists to provide limited financial assistance in instances where a member, their students, and/or a school site have experienced losses due to a natural disaster. The following eligibility requirements apply:
- Currently enrolled as a CTA Active, Student, or CTA-R member in good standing, and;
- Work in a classroom at a school site damaged by a natural disaster, and;
- Substantiation of losses stemming from damages caused by the disaster are provided, and verified by the member’s local chapter.
Interested members are encouraged to contact their local office, the nearest Regional Resource Center or the CTA website for an application form. The completed form must be returned to the member’s Chapter President for verification.
Note: Disaster Relief Fund payments are intended for expenses not compensated for by insurance or otherwise.
